Castine, ME – Joshua Joseph scored two goals in the second half to inspire a comeback against Maine Maritime Academy on Friday, September 15^th, 2023.

How it Happened:  

• The Terriers got off to a quick start, with Daud Abdi finding space to shoot within a minute and a half but was unable to find the back of the net.
• The Mariners dominated much of the first half, outshooting the Terriers 7-1 in the next 26 minutes.
• In the 38^th minute, the Mariners found a pocket of space and were able to capitalize, taking a 1-0 lead.
• The Mariners were able to find the back of the net again in the 58^th minute, but the game wasn't out of reach for the Terriers.
• 10 Minutes later, Joseph was fouled inside the Mariners 18-yard box, and calmly placed the ball into the bottom left corner to put the Terriers on the board with 22 minutes remaining.
• Terriers' goalkeeper Keein Wright had to make two important saves in the 84^th minute to keep the hopes of a comeback alive. 
• In the 86^th minute, Craig Coventry sent in a 35-yard through ball to Joseph, who was able to head the ball into the back of the net, to tie the game up at 2-2.
• With only four minutes left, the Terriers were able to secure the draw.
• The Terriers were outshot 22-13, but were able to walk away with a draw thanks to some good defending. 

 
The Goalkeepers:  
Terriers' goalkeeper Wright played the full 90 minutes, making an important six saves. 
Mariners' goalkeeper Reagan Moynihan also played the full 90 minutes, making two saves.
 
What's Next:
The Terriers will take on the University of Maine Farmington at home on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
