Box Score Waterville, ME – Men's Lacrosse went across town on Tuesday, April 18
th to play a strong Colby College team, falling 26-0 after an irreparable first quarter.
The Records:
Thomas College: Overall (3-6), NAC (2-3)
Colby College: Overall (3-9), NAC (0-8)
How it Happened:
- During the first quarter the Terriers were only able to get two shots off, the first by Timothy Worster, hitting the crossbar, followed by Daniel Macwhinnine with a shot on goal and saved by the Mules goalie, First quarter 13-0 Colby
- Before going in at halftime Worster put a shot on goal, but it was again saved by Colby's goalkeeper, 17-0 end of second quarter
- Roughly twelve minutes into the third quarter the Terriers had three shots and free position with William Heywood taking the shot, but was blocked by the Mules
- Thomas ended the fourth quarter taking five shots and falling to the Mules, 26-0 Colby
The Goalkeepers:
Daniel Guarino started the game and played the first two quarters, ending with eight saves on goal.
Patrick Buxton then went in after halftime, finishing the game and making five saves.
What is Next:
Men's Lacrosse will travel to SUNY Canton on Saturday, April 22
nd to play a 4pm game against the Kangaroo's.
