Box Score Salem, MA – Men's Lacrosse was able to take advantage early on to defeat Salem State University on Wednesday, March 15. The Terriers ended with an 18-9 win against the Vikings.

How it Happened:
- The Terriers got off to a quick start, taking a 6-1 lead in the first 10 minutes of the game. Daniel MacWhinnie scored three of those six goals, and finished the day with five goals and three assists.
- However, the Vikings were able to collect themselves and scored three straight to make it 6-4 after one quarter.
- The Terriers dominated the second quarter, scoring six more of their own while shutting out the Vikings. William Heywood scored three goals during this time, including two in a 58 second stretch.
- The Terriers took a 12-4 lead going into the third quarter, but both teams found themselves at a stalemate. Timothy Worster found the back of the net this quarter, and he finished the game with three goals of his own.
- Going into the final quarter, the Terriers held a comfortable 12-5 lead, and were able to hold the big lead to close out their first victory of the season.
- Heywood led the Terriers in goals with seven, while Max Irons finished the game with a game-high seven assists.
Goalkeepers:
Daniel Guarino started in net for the Terriers, shutting out the Vikings in the second quarter.
Patrick Buxton played the final 30 minutes, and as a total they made 13 saves on 22 total shots.

Men's Lacrosse will travel to face Northern Vermont University-Lyndon on March 25
th. Start time is scheduled for 1:00 PM.
