12/6/2023 9:48:00 AM

Biddeford, Maine - From the opening faceoff Sunday afternoon, The Terriers controlled play and eventually pulled away from the hardworking University of New England Northeaster's winning 4-2.

How it Happened:
  • Colin Casserly opened the scoring early in the first period on a hardworking goal that was assisted by Jonah Bird
  • UNE tied it quickly, but 23 seconds later Colin Hines put the Terriers back in front with feed from Nathan Myers
  • The second was scoreless until DJ Cagnina lit the lamp with 8:08 remaining. Nick Fischetto and Dan Guarino assisted on the goal.
  • UNE pulled within one late in the 2nd and Thomas went to the locker room with a 3-2 lead.
  • The forward line of Kegan Rodrigue, Dylan Fortier and Daniel Guarino had a tremendous number of opportunities throughout the game and were finally rewarded in the 3rd period as Rodrigue buried a feed from Guarino giving the Terriers the breathing room they needed.
  • Thomas controlled the play throughout the 3rd but goaltender Sean Moore was tremendous in net turning away 44 shots.
  • Mason Snider recorded the win for Thomas making 28 saves, many of which were at key moments.

What's Next:

The Terriers will take on the Colby College Mules for the second time this season at Colby College on Thursday, December 7th at 8pm.
