SUNY-Canton scored three runs of their own in the first inning but it would be their last lead of the game, as Thomas would tack on four runs in the top of the second. Gleason doubled to right field to score two runs, helping them regain the lead. An error by the left fielder helped bring home
Tony Meza (Los Angeles, Calif.) and

The Terriers only allowed one more run for the entire game. They also added two runs in the fourth and five runs in the seventh inning, to win their first elimination game convincingly.
