Match Recap: Men's Tennis |

Men's tennis cruises past Badgers in doubleheader

WATERVILLE, Maine - Men's tennis swept NVU-Johnson 9-0 twice on Thursday, to improve to 4-0 in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) matches, with two important matches against SUNY-Delhi looming.  

Jose Afonso (Tenerife, Spain), only dropped one game in his two doubles matches and two singles matches. His doubles partner Gabe McPhail (Windham, ME) also cruised in both of his singles matches against the Badgers.Liam Gould (Freeport, Maine) and his doubles partner Rajhan Munnings (Providenciales, Turks and Caicos) also won easily in their doubles and singles matches.  

Kegan Rodrigue (Auburn, Maine) played #5 singles in the first match while Caleb Daigneault (Cornville, Maine) played #5 in the second match, both winning handily. 

The Terriers have two matches against SUNY-Delhi coming up, which could decide which team will host the NAC Championship match. They will first host the Broncos on Saturday April 16th before traveling to Delhi on the 23rd.  

UP NEXT: The Terriers will play University of Maine's club team in a scrimmage on Saturday at 1 p.m. before traveling to Norwich University on Sunday for a non-conference match.
