The next two innings both teams traded one run each, with an Aaron Young (Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.) single scoring Tommy Smith (Cumming, Ga.) in the third, and good baserunning by Jake Perry (Oakland, Maine) in the fourth.

The Terriers scored again in the fifth from a shot down the left field line from Brad Smith (Ellsworth, Maine), scoring Tony Meza (Los Angeles, Calif.).
