Women’s basketball downed by Husson in NAC contest

BANGOR, Maine – Thomas women's basketball (2-17) lost at Husson University (16-4) on Thursday night by a score of 78-30.

The Eagles jumped out to a 26-7 lead after the first quarter and were able to maintain control. Husson continued to outpace the Terriers in the second quarter,

Thomas was able to play better defense in the second half but Husson's lead was just too much to overcome. With the win, the Eagles remain undefeated in North Atlantic Conference contests with playoffs starting next week.  Due to an uneven amount of games played by each team in the conference this winter, all teams will make the playoffs.

Kaylee Ravagli (Lowell, Mass.) led the Terriers with 10 points while Samantha Fortin (New Gloucester, Maine) added nine points. The Eagles were led by Vanessa Duarte who had 20 points for the Eagles while Bailey Donovan had 15 points and 11 rebounds. Donovan was named the DIII National Player of the Week on Tuesday.

UP NEXT: Thomas will host University of Maine at Farmington for their last regular season finale on Saturday at 3 p.m. The Terriers will honor their seniors before the game.
