New England College: Overall (2-1)

How it Happened:
  • The Terriers took the first points on the board by Samantha Fortin, but trailed the rest of the first
  • With a three from Kristina Perry and help off the bench with six points, they were able to put up eleven points in the first quarter
  • First Year Emily Hagerty had somewhat of a hot hand in the middle of the second quarter, getting four points in twenty seconds on play
  • Brianne Benecke ran an aggressive offensive, with good movement throughout, then picking up four points herself before halftime, 30-24 NEC
  • It took the Terriers a little bit to come alive in the third, but in the last-minute Jocelyn Jordan made a nice two pointer and Mia Henderson sunk a three to give the Terriers momentum going into the fourth quarter, 36-35 NEC
  • After immediately going up on NEC, the Pilgrims fought back keeping the game at a tie and then back in their favor
  • Then with a three from Hagerty and two good free throws from Benecke the Terriers were back up again
  • It wasn't until the last two minutes where NEC would go on to score eight more points and Thomas unable to put up any, final score 56-48 NEC
