11/20/2022 10:43:00 AM

Box Score Waterville, ME – The Terriers were able to break Chargers lead a multitude of times, but were unable to get enough stops to keep their lead from rising. Yet another good sight that the Thomas College Women's Basketball team is right there and it will soon fall in their favor, as they drop to Colby-Sawyer 50-46.

The Records:
Thomas College: Overall (0-4)
Colby-Sawyer: Overall (2-2)

How it Happened:
  • The Terriers were able to get three on the board before the Chargers could land one. One being an early free throw opportunity for Samantha Fortin and then a layup from Keira Gilman
  • The Chargers then went to make five points in a row and had the lead, until Mia Henderson was able to keep the tie at 5-5
  • Chargers were able to make seven more points in the first, compared to the Terriers two, 12-7 Chargers at the end of the first quarter
  • A very low scoring second quarter gave us the 19-14 score going into halftime, Chargers still lead
  • With help from Fortin, Gilman, Henderson, and Trea Broussard the Terriers were able to minimize the Chargers score and tie going into the fourth at 33
  • Samantha Fortin stayed her consistent self and Emily Hagerty was able to sink a three, but the Terriers were unable to get a rhythm going until it was to late in the fourth, unable to catch up
  • Final score 50-46 Colby-Sawyer
