Ice Hockey Gets Win in Late Third Period Goal Against UNE

Augusta, ME – After a long three game weekend the Terriers finished strong with a 3-2 victory over University of New England.  The Nor'easters gave Thomas a fight by coming back to tie after each Terrier goal, until First Year Nicholas Fischetto netting their final goal in the end of the third.
 
How it Happened:
  • Terriers struck first with an unassisted goal by Dylan Fortier ten minutes into the first period
  • The Nor'easters did come back not even three minutes later, 1-1
  • Cameron Bigelow responded to UNE's goal two minutes later scoring Thomas's second goal of the night. He was assisted by Ryan Kappelmann and Cameron Tower
  • The second period was scoreless from both teams
  • UNE tied up the game at the start of the third
  • After playing most of the third period tied, Fischetto scored the Terriers winning goal with just under five minutes to go. His goal was assisted by Kappelmann and Sean Coleman
 
Goalkeepers:
Miloslav Fuksa played in goal for the Terriers and ended the night with a total of forty-five saves.
Nate Carrigr totaled 41 saves for the Nor'easters in tonight's game.
 
What is Next:
The Terriers will host the University of Southern Maine this Saturday October 29th at the Camden National Bank Ice Vault in Augusta, ME. Puck drop will be at 7:40pm.
