Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Webster drops 17 in men's hoops loss at Husson

BANGOR, Maine - Thomas men's basketball was upended by Husson for the second time this weekend, this time at Husson by a score of 94-75.

The Terriers lost at home on Friday to the Eagles, 94-75 in a North Atlantic Conference match up. They had good spurts but in the end were unable to catch up. They came in to Sunday looking to get a little revenge on Husson's senior day.

Thomas was able to get up 15-13 in the early stages of the game but Husson went on a 13-2 run, to give themselves a nine point lead. Thomas answered with a run of their own to get back within shouting distance of the Eagles but unfortunately it did not last long. Husson went up as many as 15 points in the latter minutes of the first half but settled for a 10 point lead at half time.

Husson kept the pedal down on offense in the second half, going up by 17 in the first three minutes. Coach Deshon Gaither rallied his team and got within two points a few times but the Eagles pulled away in the last ten minutes to get the victory.

Demetris Webster (Port St. Lucie, Fla.) led the Terriers for the second game in a row, this time with 18 points. Sawyer Deprey (Caribou, Maine) had 14 points and Isaiah Williams (Valley Springs, Calif.) added 13. Justin Thompson had a game high 18 points for the Eagles in the win.

Up next Thomas will travel to Lewiston to take on Bates on Tuesday night, tip off is at 7 p.m. No spectators outside of the Bates community will be allowed but there will be a live stream and live stats for fans.
