WATERVILLE, Maine - Thomas women's basketball (2-9) lost at home on Saturday afternoon to SUNY-Canton (5-9) 67-39 in a North Atlantic Conference matchup.
The Terriers played well in the first quarter, going up 8-4 however the Kangaroos were able to score eight out of 10 points to end the quarter, taking control of the game after that.  SUNY-Canton pulled away in the second quarter, holding Thomas to just five points, and taking a 32-17 lead into the half.
The Kangaroos came out strong again in the third quarter out-scoring the Terriers 24-12. Thomas bounced back in the fourth quarter playing their best defense holding SUNY-Canton to just 11 points but the Canton lead was just too much to overcome.
