JOHNSON, V.T. - Thomas Women's Tennis lost the first match of a doubleheader to Northern Vermont University - Johnson by a score of 8-1. 

The Terriers only point came at No. 2 doubles, Renée Rossi (Randolph, Maine) and Kiara Goggin (West Gardiner, Maine) won a tight match against Metea Smith and Kayla Knight 8-7. Riley Pierce (Watertown, New York) saw her singles win streak end at four matches, losing to Becca Simon 8-7 in another competitive match. 

Thomas will play the NVU-Johnson again, later this afternoon at 2 p.m.
