WATERVILLE, Maine - Thomas' Field Hockey (0-5) played a great game in a 2-0 loss to Colby College (2-0) on Tuesday night.
The Terriers had their chances offensively in the game with 6 shots on goal and 9 penalty corners but were unable to convert against the Mules stingydefense.
Colby's Sandrine Brien opened up scoring in the second minute of of the game with unassisted goal. Thomas played great defense in the rest of the first half including some great plays by freshman
Molly Littlefield (Oxford, Maine). It wasn't until early in the second half that the Mules scored their second goal, this time by Sally Cassidy assisted by Mya Salazar.
The Terriers started a different goalie in each half with both making some outstanding saves. Freshman
Brennan Pinto (Langhorne, PA) started for Thomas allowing one goal while making eight saves. Graduate student
Alexis Bowman (Freedom, Maine) started the second half allowing one goal while making 6 saves. Colby's goalie Emily Loeb played the whole game and saved all seven shots on goal she faced.

The Terriers are on the road at University of Maine - Farmington (2-1), in their first conference game of the season. The game is slated for a 1 pm start.
