FARMINGTON, Maine - Thomas Women's Field Hockey (1-4) picked up their first win of the season, shutting out University of Maine - Farmington (2-2) 4-0 on Saturday.
The Terriers poured on the goals in the second quarter, scoring all four of their goals in the quarter. Freshman
Julia Reny (Gardiner, Maine) got the first goal for Thomas just under 2 minutes into the second quarter. Reny has been one of the standout first years already scoring three goals and notching three assists.
Senior
Britney Gregoire (Kennebunk, Maine) scored two unassisted goals moments later for Thomas, giving them a 3-0 lead. Gregoire leads the team in goals scored with five this season. Sophomore
Dezarae Parkhurst (Burrillville, RI) got the fourth goal of the game and her second game of the season to close out the scoring for Thomas.
First year
Brennan Pinto (Langhorne, PA) played strongly for 60 minutes in the win for the Terriers. Pinto has started four games this season for Thomas, playing 180 minutes and keeping opponents to under three goals.
