WATERVILLE, Maine - The Thomas Women's Tennis (3-2) team bounced back with a 9-0 win over Lesley University on Sunday.
The Terriers started the day strong by winning all three doubles points. Juniors
Kiara Goggin (West Gardiner, Maine) and Lauren Smith (Waterville, Maine) battled at #1 doubles beating the Lynx's Brooke Whitten and Morgan Anderson 8-5. The match of the day was at #2 doubles where
Riley Pierce (Watertown, New York) and Magan Williams (Oakland, Maine) won 8-6 over Annie Dai and Joselyn Martinez.
Taylor Davis (Lebanon, Maine) and Renée Rossi (Randolph, Maine) cruised at #3 doubles, giving Thomas the 3-0 edge going in to singles.
Goggin picked up her 4th win of the season beating Brooke Whitten 6-4, 6-2 at #1 singles while Smith beat Anderson 6-2, 6-2 at #2 singles. Williams won a tight first set against Martinez 7-5 before cruising in the second set 6-1.
