WATERVILLE, Maine – The Thomas College softball team fell in a pair of North Atlantic Conference (NAC) games to Husson on Tuesday.

GAME 1 – Husson 9, Thomas 1
Husson got on the board first with a three-run home run in the third, then scored three more in the fourth to go up 6-0. Thomas got one back in the fifth with an RBI double by
Bailey Dunphy (North Anson, Maine) cutting the lead to 6-1.

Husson grabbed one in the sixth and two more in the seventh to take the 9-1 victory.

Kelsey Currier (Cumberland, Maine) took the loss, allowing three runs, none earned, on five hits in three innings.

GAME 2 – Husson 4, Thomas 2
Thomas struck first with a run in the bottom of the first when
MacKenzie Oberholzer (Hancock, Md.) drove in a run on a single to make it a 1-0 game. The Terriers doubled their lead in the third when Dunphy reached second on an error, stole third, then scored on a Currier groundout.

Husson got one back in the fifth to cut the lead to 2-1, then added two in the sixth to take the 3-2 lead. The Eagles tacked on one more in the seventh to take the 4-2 victory.

Claudia Migliaccio (Brooklyn, N.Y.) was tagged with the loss, allowing three runs on six hits in five innings.
