SHREWSBURY, Mass. – The Thomas College men's tennis team defeated SUNY Delhi 6-3 in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) match on Sunday.
The Broncos took the top two doubles flights with 8-3 wins. The Thomas pair of
Rajhan Munnings (Providenciales, Turks and Caicos) and
Carter Fogarty (Rockland, Maine) salvaged third doubles with an 8-2 win.
After dropping the first singles match, Thomas swept through the remaining five singles to take the victory.
Liam Gould (Freeport, Maine) won a tightly contested battle at second singles, 7-5, 6-4.
Jason Hamilton (South Portland, Maine) pulled ahead in the first #3 singles set 7-5, then cruised to the win with a 6-0 second set win.
Princiel Kunieki (Portland, Maine) took care of fourth singles 6-3, 6-2. Fogarty went ahead 6-2 in the first set of fifth singles, then dropped the second 6-1 to force a third set, which he won 6-3. Munnings finished things off with a 6-1, 6-0 win at sixth singles to secure the 6-3 win for Thomas.
