STANDISH, Maine - Thomas College Women's Basketball (1-5) lost to Saint Joseph's College of Maine (5-1) in a non-conference game on Wednesday night by a score of 76-41.
The Terriers started the game playing strong defense, holding the Monks to just 15 points in the first quarter and only trailing by four points after the first ten minutes.
St. Joe's offense really started to click in the second and third quarters and as a result they outscored Thomas 42-20 in the two quarters combined.
Senior guard
Kaylee Ravagli (Lowell, Mass.)led the Terriers with 14 points and four rebounds while
Anna Piirainen (West Paris, Maine) added 11 points and four rebounds. The Monks were led by senior Cassandra Stapelfeld who had 22 points.
Next up Thomas will open up their conference play on Saturday at Maine Maritime Academy at 3 p.m.
