WATERVILLE, Maine - Men's Soccer cruised to a 3-nil win over SUNY-Cobleskill on Saturday afternoon on Smith Field, scoring all three goals in the first half.
Sophomore
Hunter Smith (Oakland, Maine) found the back of the net in just the second minute off a beautiful corner by senior
Zenawi Bowen (St. George's, Bermuda). It was Smith's second goal of the season, his first coming against NVU-Lyndon.
First year
Joshua Joseph (Devonshire, Bermuda ) scored his fourth goal of the season in the 17th minute while Bowen scored his seventh goal of the season in the 32nd minute.
The Fighting Tigers came out firing in the second half, outshooting the Terriers 8-3 but Thomas was able to come up with some big defensive plays. One of the star defensive players was senior goalie
Jonathan LeClair (Belmont, N.H.) who came up with some big saves to preserve the shutout. He has started all 8 games for the Terriers and is now 7-1 on the season with two shutouts.
Thomas improves to 7-1 overall and 5-0 in North Atlantic Conference games, riding a four game win streak. One of their biggest tests will be at home against Husson University on Wednesday but first they will take on SUNY-Delhi tomorrow at 2:30 p.m.
