WATERVILLE, Maine - Thomas Men's Soccer pulled out a one-nil win over SUNY-Delhi on Sunday to stay undefeated in North Atlantic Conference games.
The game was very evenly matched from the beginning, with both teams playing very physical. Each side had chances in the first half but neither were able to find the back of the net.
It wasn't until the 71st minute that
Princiel Kunieki (Portland, Maine) gave the Terriers the lead, set up by
Joshua Joseph's (Devonshire, Bermuda ) beautiful cross off of a set piece.
Goalie
Jonathan LeClair (Belmont, N.H.) got his second shutout in two days and his third of the season. He has only allowed seven goals in 9 starts this season and continues to be an instrumental part of the Thomas defense.
With the win Thomas improved to 8-1 overall and 6-0 in the NAC, as well as extended their winning streak to five games. They will now face their biggest challenge of the season on Wednesday when they play rival Husson University (9-2-3) at 6:30 p.m.
