Field Hockey tripped up at Colby Sawyer

New London, NH - Thomas Field Hockey lost a battle to Colby Sawyer, 5-3 on a dreary Sunday afternoon.

Aoife Daly scored just over six minutes into the first quarter and the Chargers never looked back, holding the lead for all sixty minutes. Daly was able to score again for Colby Sawyer in the third quarter. Julia Lanctot added two goals of her own and Chrissy Coffield assisted on three out of five of their goals.

Britney Gregoire (Kennebunk, Maine) continued her stellar senior season for the Terriers adding two goals of her own in the loss. Another Thomas player who is having a terrific season is Britney's twin sister Lindsey Gregoire (Kennebunk, Maine) who also had a goal and an assist in the game.

Graduate student Bowman got the start in goal for the Terriers making seven saves in 60 minutes of play.

With the loss the Terriers fall to 4-7 overall with the loss but are still undefeated in NECC conference play. They only have two games in the next 20 days with a road trip to New England College on October 12th and a home contest against Husson on October 23rd.
