FARMINGTON, Maine – The Thomas College men's soccer team defeated the University of Maine-Farmington 2-nil on Saturday afternoon.
Thomas held the bulk of the scoring opportunities in the first 45 but were unable to find the back of the goal and went into the break tied 0-0.
Thomas was able to take the lead inside the 65th minute of the second half on perfectly placed cross form
Zenawi Bowen (St. George's, Bermuda) to
Princiel Kunieki (Portland, Maine). Kunieki found the lower corner of the goal again and stretched the lead to two just inside the 74th minute. The Terriers held on for the 2-nil win.
Thomas goalkeeper
Jonathan LeClair (Belmont, N.H.)) made five saves and picked up his tenth win of the season. Jonah Sautter took the loss for Farmington with two saves.
The Terriers will travel to New England College in Henniker, N.H. to play their final match of the regular season on Tuesday, October 26 at 4:00 PM.
