Men's Soccer defeated in regular season finale

HENNIKER, N.H. - Thomas Men's Soccer fell in non-conference action to New England College 4-1 in their regular season finale on Tuesday afternoon.   

Terriers led 1-nil at halftime before the Pilgrims scored four unanswered goals. The lone goal was scored by Cooper Lyons (Gorham, Maine) and assisted by Timothy Worster (Mount Vernon, Maine) in the 13th minute.   

Logan Cassin found the back of the net five minutes into the second half to open up scoring for New England College. Cassin would score again in the 65th minute. Wiskens Flavil added two more goals in the second half for the Pilgrims to put the game out of reach for Thomas.   

Jonathan LeClair (Belmont, N.H.) got the start between the sticks for the Terriers. He made 11 saves on 15 shots on goal. LeClair finishes the regular season with a record of 10-3.  

Thomas ends the season with an overall record of 10-4 and 8-1 in conference. Their only loss in conference came at the hands of Husson University on October 13th.  

Up next the Terriers will play the University of Maine - Farmington in the quarterfinals of the North Atlantic Conference Championship on Saturday. The game is slated to start at 1:30 p.m. at Husson, who is hosting the playoffs. If Thomas wins, they will play the winner of Husson and Maine Maritime on Sunday. Thomas beat UMaine Farmington last weekend by a score of 2-nil. They were the first team to shutout the Beavers this season.
