Thomas goalkeeper Connor Lamberton (Shohola, Pa. / Delaware Valley) held strong through the first quarter on a barrage of Green Mountain shots. Lamberton stopped the first nine shots he faced in the period before surrendering the first Eagles goal to Will Durant, assisted by Nick Parsons, with one minute left in the quarter.
Thomas tied things up in the opening minutes of the second on a goal by Jacob Kendall (Lewiston, Maine / Lewiston), assisted by Strout. The Terriers took a 2-1 lead with nine minutes left in the half on an unassisted goal by Brian Ferris (Whitman, Mass. / Whitman-Hanson Regional).
McKenna brought the Eagles back even two minutes later on an unassisted goal. Strout took back the lead for Thomas with five minutes left in the half, but McKenna once again tied the game with under three to go to bring the score to 3-3 at the half.
Green Mountain scored a quick go-ahead goal by Chris Surdam, assisted by McKenna, just over two minutes into the third to regain the lead. Nate Laymon tacked on another goal with just over five minutes left in the quarter to bring the score to 5-3 after three.
McKenna scored his third goal at the ten-minute mark of the fourth to push Green Mountain's lead to 6-3. The Terriers were unable to stage a late comeback, in part due to a goal that was waved off because of a crease violation in the closing minutes. Thomas was able to add a short-handed goal with 14 seconds left by Parker Chute (Brentwood, N.H. / Exeter), assisted by Colby Blondin (Colchester, Vt. / Colchester) to close the game at 6-4.

Arun Falk earned the victory for the Eagles, stopping six of ten shots. Lamberton stopped 17 of 23 shots in the loss.
The Terriers will return to action when they face Husson on Wednesday, April 20 in a North Atlantic Conference game at 6 p.m. in Bangor.
