Box Score BOSTON, MA - The Thomas men's lacrosse team dropped their second game of the season in a 24-5 defeat against Emerson College this evening. Bryan Ferris and Colby Blondin each scored two goals for the Terriers.
It was a tough start for Thomas (0-2), as the Lions (2-2) scored the first 13 goals of the contest, with Andrew Romano netting three to lead the way. Colby Blondin was able to scored his second goal on the year to end the scoring run and bring the halftime score to 13-1.
Thomas played Emerson closely in the third quarter, with Lions outscoring the Terriers 6-4. Ferris scored consecutive goals on assists from Zac Crimmin and Blondin buried his second of the game unassisted to give Thomas three unaswered before the Lions ended the quarter on a 4-1 run.
Emerson blanked Thomas 5-0 in the fourth quarter to round out the scoring on the night.
Ferris and Blondin led the Terriers with two goals each, Parker Chute scored once and Crimmin had two assists. Connor Lamberton got the start in goal and recorded 14 saves.
Romano and Diego Rosende each had five goals for the Lions. Goalkeeper Jordan Maue registered nine saves in the win.
Thomas will be back in action this Sunday, March 15 at 2:00 PM when they host Wheelock for their home opener.
