Thomas Wins on the Road, 17-8 over Green Mountain

Poultney, Vt. – The Thomas College men's lacrosse team (3-7, 3-2 NAC) were able to put yesterday's loss behind them as they defeated Green Mountain College (1-7, 0-5 NAC) 17-8 this afternoon.

Bradley Stiles scored the first of his four goals for Thomas just two minutes into the game and the Terriers never looked back. Stiles scored his hat-trick goal with 3:17 remaining in the first quarter. Aiding in the goal scoring was Matt Quesada who scored his first goal with 6:41 remaining in the first quarter. Quesada finished with six goals and an assist.

Matt Tarricone got the Eagles on the board with seven seconds left in the first on an assist from Eric Hansel in a man-up situation. The Eagles would not score again until 15 minutes later off a goal from Mike Smith to end the first half trailing the Terriers 9-2.

Thomas' man-up unit was able to convert on five of their opportunities in the game as well as winning the face off battle 16-to-12. Green Mountain was unable to successfully clear the ball out of their defensive end in 13-of-19 attempts and caused 44 turnovers.

Scott Dumas finished the game with three goals and an assist as well for the Terriers. Goalkeeper Jesse Morkeski finished with 12 saves playing the entire game. For the Eagles, Ethan Whaley finished with 13 saves on 30 shots.

The Terriers will be back in action Wednesday, April 20, as the University of Maine at Farmington will visit Alumni Field for a 4 p.m. face off.
