Plourde was named Head Softball Coach in December of 2022. She now enters her fourth season at Thomas.
Plourde was perviously an Assistant Coach at Husson University in the four years prior to joining Thomas, specializing in hitting and catching. While coaching at Husson, Plourde was a part of three North Atlantic Conference Championships along with three NCAA Appearances. She also served as the Director of Softball at Sluggers Training Facility in Brewer, Maine form 2017-2019.
Plourde has also been apart of the huge success out of the Old Town High School Softball program. Appointed Head Coach in 2012, Plourde immediately took her team to victory, winning both the Eastern Maine Class B and State Class B Championship Titles for the first time ever. The team then went on to win four Penobscot Valley Conference Championships (2013, 2014, 2015, and 2018) and two more State Class B Championships (2016 and 2017). Due to her hard work and dedication to the program, she was named Penobscot Valley Conference Coach of the Year five times (2012, 2013, 2015, 2017, and 2018).
Plourde is a native of Howland, Maine and attended Penobscot Valley High School. She then went on to earn a bachelor's degree from Husson University in Physical Education, while being a student-athlete playing Soccer and Basketball.
