Ali Kriegel

Ali Kriegel was named Head Softball Coach in August of 2018. In two seasons Kriegel has reached the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship and NAC East Championship, finishing as runners-up in both seasons. She has coached eleven NAC All-Conference players including the 2019 NAC Player of the Year, two NAC Senior Scholar Athletes in 2019 and 2021, an Academic All-American in 2019, and eleven National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-America Scholar-Athletes in 2021. The Terriers also saw their first NFCA All-Region Third Team selection in 2021. Kriegel was named NAC Coach of the Year in 2019.

In 2019 the Terriers lead the NAC in batting average, OBP, ERA, hits allowed, runs allowed, and stolen bases. Previously, Kriegel had been on the softball coaching staff for six seasons, serving as an assistant coach under Terry Parlin prior to taking over the program. Under her guidance, the Terriers earned their first NCAA Tournament appearance after capturing the 2017 NAC Championship. As a student-athlete at Thomas, Kriegel was a four-year member and three-year captain of the softball and field hockey programs. She also played club ice hockey for two years. In softball, she was named to the 2010 NAC All-Tournament team and batted a career-high .400 with 18 RBI and 24 runs scored during the 2010 season. Over her field hockey career, she tallied 16 goals and 17 assists for 49 points. In program history, Kriegel ranks first in career assists, third in points, and seventh in goals. She was also a two-year member of the NAC All-Conference Team and earned National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-Academic Honors.

Kriegel is also an assistant for Thomas College field hockey under head Coach Andrea Thebarge and is going into her tenth season in that position. She also serves as the Academic Coordinator for Athletics. Kriegel graduated from Thomas in 2011 with a Bachelor of Art in Psychology, then went on to earn her Master of Business Administration through Thomas' accelerated MBA program in 2012. In 2020 Kriegel earned her Master of Athletic Administration and Coaching from Concordia University Irvine. Additionally, she spent the past thirteen years working on the Trek Across Maine, a cycling event, for the American Lung Association each June.
