New London, NH - The Thomas College Field Hockey team came up short against Colby-Sawyer College on Sunday afternoon, falling 3-4 at Kelsey Field. The Terriers battled back from a two-goal deficit to tie the game in the fourth quarter before Colby-Sawyer scored the game-winning goal with just under three minutes remaining.

How It Happened:

• Colby-Sawyer opened the scoring at 6:22 of the first quarter to take an early 0-1 lead.
• The Chargers extended their lead early in the second quarter, scoring at 16:57 to make it 0-2.
• Thomas responded midway through the second quarter when Celia Stinson found the back of the cage at 24:10, cutting the deficit to 1-2.
• Just under three minutes later, Avery LaBua scored off an assist from Abby Stevens to tie the game at 2-2.
• Colby-Sawyer regained the lead at 32:31 taking a 2-3 advantage into the final period.
• Thomas earned a penalty corner early in the fourth quarter, and Stevens converted the opportunity at 45:53 to even the score at 3-3.
• The Terriers continued to create opportunities, including another penalty corner with just over five minutes remaining.
• Colby-Sawyer scored at 57:20 to take a 3-4 lead.
• Thomas continued to pressure in the final minutes, but the Chargers held on for the victory.
