Women's Tennis Drops Home Matchup to University of New England

Waterville, ME - Women's Tennis fell by a score of 1-6 in their 2026 season opener at home on Tuesday, September 1st, 2026.

How it Happened:
  • Lily Daigle and Taylor Juhase teamed up at the #1 doubles spot, ultimately falling 6-7 (1-7) in a tiebreaker.
  • Sarah Mack and Gigi Bhagat at the #2 spot won convincingly, 6-1.
  • To wrap up doubles play Tracy Lopez and Kayla Bailey fell 1-6, giving the Nor'easters a 1-0 match lead.
  • Juhase battled at #1 singles, but fell 0-6, 2-6.
  • Bhagat played well at the #2 spot, winning 6-4, 6-4, in a hard-fought matchup to make the score 1-2.
  • Daigle at #3 singles fell 2-6, 4-6.
  • Mack also fell at the #4 spot, 0-6, 0-6.
  • At the #5 singles spot Lopez put up a fight, winning the first set 6-2 before falling 2-6 and 6-10 in a tiebreaker to make the score 1-5.
  • To wrap up the day for the Terriers Bailey fell 2-6, 4-6 at the #6 singles spot, giving the Nor'easters a 6-1 win.

  • Women's Tennis will be back in action when they travel to take on UMass Dartmouth on Saturday, September 5th, 2026. Match time is scheduled for 1:00 PM.
