Waterville, ME - Softball fell in a conference doubleheader against the #16 ranked Husson University Eagles on Tuesday, April 21st, 2026. The final scores were 0-13 and 1-13.

How it Happened:

Game One - 0-13 Loss (5 Innings)

• Husson wasted no time getting on the board, erupting for seven runs in the top of the first inning to give them a commanding early lead.
• The Eagles continued to apply pressure in the third inning, adding four more runs.
• Husson extended their advantage again in the fourth, capitalizing on a sacrifice fly and a Thomas error to bring the score to 13-0.
• Despite efforts to settle in defensively, Thomas struggled to contain Husson's consistent contact and aggressive baserunning throughout the game.

Game Two - 1-13 Loss (6 Innings)

• Husson once again jumped out to an early lead, plating two runs in the first inning.
• The Eagles continued to build momentum in the second inning with a solo home run and another RBI knock to extend the lead to 4–0.
• Husson added runs in the third and fourth innings, eventually making it 8-0.
• Thomas broke through in the fourth inning after a double from Oberholzer saw Corinne Vasvary come in to pinch run.
• Vasvary made the most of her time, and came around to score on a wild pitch, putting the Terriers on the board.
• Despite the effort, Husson answered with a five-run sixth inning to put the game out of reach, making the final score 1-13.
