Softball Scores a Record Breaking 52 Combined Runs in Lesley Doubleheader

Cambridge, MA - Softball put up a record-breaking 52 runs in a doubleheader against Lesley University on Wednesday, April 15th, 2026. The final score in game one was 31-2, and the final score in game two was 21-1.

How it Happened:

Game One - 31-2 Win
  • The Terriers started game one with 11 runs scored in both the first and second innings.
  • In the bottom of the first the Lynx would score two runs, but from then on the Terriers continued to roll.
  • With two more runs in the third and seven in the fourth, the Terriers would eventually go on to earn a dominant 31-2 win in game one.
  • The Terriers combined for 30 hits in game one and were aided by 10 errors from the Lynx to secure the conference victory.
  • Lillian Noyes earned the win in the circle, pitching all five innings, allowing two hits, and struck out six batters.

Game Two - 21-1 Win
  • The Terriers got off to a hot start again, scoring three runs in the top of the first inning.
  • However, the Lynx also got on the scoreboard, scoring a run in the bottom of the inning to make it 3-1.
  • The Terriers followed up with three more runs in the second, then seven more in the third to make it 13-1.
  • In the fourth and fifth innings the Terriers combined for eight more runs, leading the way to a 21-1 victory in game two.
  • Addy Boyce earned her first start in the pitching circle for the Terriers this season, dominating with just three hits allowed while striking out eight batters in five innings.

What's Next:
  • Softball will be back in action when they take on the University of Maine Presque Isle at home on Saturday, April 18th. Game times are scheduled for 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM and will be this year's "Senior Day", where the team honors and celebrates their graduating seniors.
