Men's Lacrosse Cruises to 20-4 Win Over Anna Maria on Senior Day

Waterville, ME - Men's Lacrosse celebrated its senior day with a North Atlantic Conference match-up against Anna Maria College on Saturday, April 11th, earning a dominant victory over the Amcats by a final score of 20-4. With the win over the Amcats, the Terriers improve to a 7-4 overall record in the 2026 season, tying the all-time single season win record at 7 wins. Sophomore Owen Lyons led the Terriers offense with an impressive 10-point performance, surpassing the 100th point of his career in just under two seasons as a Terrier.

Records:
Thomas: Overall (7-4), NAC (2-1)
Anna Maria: Overall (1-12), NAC (0-2)

How it Happened:
  • The Terriers wasted no time setting the tone, striking in the opening seconds as Jack Morrill found Hunter Simpson off the draw for a goal to give the Terriers an early 1-0 lead.
  • Quick strikes in the following minutes from Morrill, Connor Hamilton, and Wyatt Lyons (assisted by O. Lyons) extended the Terriers lead to four goals midway through the 1st.
  • Charlie Foster-Major earned his first goal of the season in his first game back from injury late in the 1st, finding the back of the net off a nice pass from O. Lyons to make it an 8-0 game.
  • Hamilton and W. Lyons closed out the final seconds of the 1st quarter with back-to-back goals off assists from O. Lyons to give the Terriers a 10-0 lead heading into the 2nd.
  • The Terriers continued to build onto their lead midway through the 2nd with three goals thanks to Hamilton, O. Lyons (assisted by Morrill), and Nicholas Pike (assisted by O. Lyons), sending the Terriers into the half with a decisive 13-0 lead.
  • The Terriers opened up the 2nd half the same way they started the 1st, scoring two quick goals thanks to Morrill and Pike (O.Lyons assist) to extend the Terriers lead to fifteen.
  • Anna Maria found the back of the net just minutes later, but three unanswered goals thanks to Morrill, Foster-Major (assisted by Tyler Gay), and Kyle Van Doren-Crooker kept the momentum with the Terriers.
  • Despite another goal from the Amcats in the closing minutes of the 3rd, a late strike in the final seconds from Dustyn Hinkley gave the Terriers a 19-2 lead heading into the final 15 minutes of play.
  • The Amcats found the back of the net twice in the 4th quarter, but a late goal from Van-Doren Crooker off a Jesse Sag assist ultimately put the game out of reach, as the Terriers went on to claim a 20-4 North Atlantic Conference win over Anna Maria on senior day.
  • Terriers goalkeepers Mike Picard, Vincent Pavonetti, and Sam Lockwood all saw time in net in the win over Anna Maria, combining for 11 saves on the day.
