Milton, MA - Men's Lacrosse traveled to take on Curry College in a non-conference match-up on Sunday, March 22nd, but were defeated by the Colonels in a back-and-forth game by a final score of 9-10. Despite the loss,
Connor Hamilton and
Hunter Simpson led the Terriers offense with 5 combined points, while goalkeeper
Mike Picard anchored the defensive efforts with 16 saves.

How it Happened:
- The Terriers would strike first in the opening minutes of the 1st quarter, with Wyatt Lyons finding the back of the net off a Patrick Babineau assist to give the Terriers an early 1-0 lead.
- Curry found a response with a goal of their own minutes later to knot the game at 1-1 midway through the 1st.
- Both teams continued to battle for the lead late in the 1st, but a goal from Hunter Simpson in the final minutes of the quarter helped put the Terriers up 2-1 heading into the 2nd.
- Simpson and W. Lyons (assisted by Simon Lanigan) continued to fuel the Terriers offense in the opening minutes of the 2nd, scoring back-to-back goals to extend the Terriers lead to three.
- The Colonels cut into their deficit shortly after with a quick goal, but a response from Nicholas Pike (assisted by Connor Hamilton) kept the Terriers ahead 5-2 with just under five minutes to play in the half.
- But four unanswered goals from Curry to close the quarter sent the Terriers into the half down 5-6.
- The Terriers looked to reclaim the momentum of the game early in the 3rd quarter, with Morrill finding the back of the net in less than ten seconds to tie the game up at 6-6.
- An Owen Lyons goal with just over two minutes to play in the 3rd helped the Terriers reclaim a one goal le
- But another late goal from the Colonels in the final seconds of the 3rd sent both teams into the fourth quarter tied at 7-7.
- The Colonels struck first in the 4th quarter with a quick goal, but a quick response just under a minute later from Pike (assisted by Hamilton) kept both teams knotted up at 8-8.
- Curry reclaimed the lead midway through the 4th quarter, but the Terriers responded once again with a quick goal thanks to Hamilton (assisted by O. Lyons) to keep the game tied at 9-9.
- Both teams continued to battle for the lead late in the 4th quarter, but a late strike from the Colonels put the Terriers down 9-10 with just under two minutes remaining in regulation.
- The Terriers continued their effort in the final minute of play to attempt to force an overtime, but would be unable to find the back of the net, ultimately falling to the Colonels in a 9-10 loss on the road.
