Waterville, ME - Men's Lacrosse hosted Regis College in a non-conference match-up on Tuesday, March 17th, defeating the Pride by a final score of 13-9 to earn its 3rd win of the regular season.
Owen Lyons and
Connor Hamilton led the Terriers attack with 12 combined points in the victory, while
Ciaran Vizi and
Jack Morrill anchored the unit on the defensive end with a combined 22 ground balls and 6 caused turnovers.

How it Happened:
- Regis claimed the momentum of the game midway through the 1st quarter, scoring two unanswered goals to put the Terriers down 0-2.
- The Terriers quickly built momentum of their own, as Owen Lyons found the back of the net twice in less than three minutes, with assists coming from Morrill and Hunter Simpson.
- Both teams continued to battle for the lead in the final minutes of the 1st, but a late goal in the quarter from the Pride put the Terriers down 2-3 after 15 minutes of play.
- Regis continued to build onto their lead early in the opening minutes of the 2nd quarter, scoring two goals to set the Terriers back three goals.
- The Terriers looked to chip away at their deficit midway through the 2nd with back-to-back goals from O. Lyons (assisted by Hamilton) and Hamilton.
- But another late goal from Regis in the final seconds of the 2nd quarter sent the Terriers into the half trailing 4-6.
- The Terriers came out of the half hot, scoring three quick goals in less than 2 minutes thanks to O. Lyons and Hamilton (assisted by O. Lyons) to reclaim a one goal lead.
- O. Lyons (assisted by Hamilton), Morrill, and Nicholas Pike continued to feed off the Terriers momentum midway through the 3rd quarter, each finding the back of the net to extend the lead to four goals.
- The Terriers closed out the 3rd with O. Lyons' 6th goal of the game, but a goal from Regis with less than ten seconds remaining in the quarter sent the Terriers into the 4th with an 11-7 advantage.
- Pike (assisted by Simpson) and Simpson continued to find holes in the Pride defense with goals for the Terriers in the 4th.
- The Pride found the back of the net twice late in the 4th quarter, but it wouldn't be enough, as the Terriers would hold on to secure a gritty 13-9 win.
- Terriers goalkeeper Mike Picard earned his third win of the season in the win over the Pride, finishing the contest with 5 saves.
