Baseball Falls to Penn State Altoona 7-12 in Day Five of Florida Trip

Auburndale, Florida - Baseball Fell to Penn State Altoona 7-12 in day five of their spring trip to Florida on Tuesday, March 10th, 2026.

How it Happened:
  • Penn State Altoona got on the board first, scoring five runs in the top of the first inning.
  • Both teams traded runs in the second, with Aidan McMahon sending a single to left field that scored Gus Hollen, making the score 1-6.
  • In the top of the fourth Penn State Altoona scored a single run, but the Terriers responded in a big way in the bottom of the inning.
  • The Terriers were able to battle back, scoring six runs to tie things at seven thanks to RBIs from Hayden Dippner, two from DJ Cagnina, Ajay Rychcik, and Zeke Rand.
  • Penn State Altoona continued their offense in the fifth, scoring three unanswered runs to take back the lead, 10-7.
  • One run in the top of the sixth and one in the top of the ninth from Penn State Altoona sunk the Terriers, handing them a 7-12 loss.
