Waterville, ME – The Thomas College Women's Volleyball team fell to #3 nationally ranked Colby College in straight sets (25-18, 25-9, 25-14) Friday afternoon at Margaret Crook Gymnasium.

How It Happened:
  • Thomas opened the match with a competitive first set, recording 10 kills and staying within striking distance behind attacks from Natalie Roy, Lindsay Pool, and Addison Lebel.
  • The Terriers trailed by just four points midway through the frame before Colby used a late run to secure the opening set, 25-18.
  • In the second set, the Mules took control early with a dominant serving performance, racing out to an 8-0 advantage behind multiple service aces.
  • Pool helped halt the run with a kill and later added back-to-back service aces, but Colby's offense remained efficient as the home team claimed the set, 25-9, to take a 2-0 match lead.
  • Thomas continued to battle in the third set, receiving kills from Haley Vickery, Roy, and Lebel while benefiting from several Colby attack errors.
  • Roy delivered a kill late in the frame and Lebel followed with a kill and service ace as the Terriers mounted a brief rally.
  • Colby responded by scoring six of the final eight points to close out the set, 25-14, and complete the match sweep.
