How it Happened:
- The Terriers grabbed an early lead off the opening tip behind a three-pointer from Isaiah Godley, but the Beavers quickly found their rhythm and took control shortly after.
- Back-to-back buckets from Blackmon in the ensuing minutes made it a 7-14 game, but a strong offensive stretch by the Beavers shortly afterward pushed the Terriers deficit to double digits.
- Blackmon and Jayden Desimone continued to build momentum for the Terriers midway through the 1st half, combining for nine quick points to make it a 20-23 game.
- A made three-pointer from Desimone and a strong finish in the paint from Isiah Corson reclaimed the lead for the Terriers with eight minutes remaining in the half.
- Both teams continued to battle for the lead late in the 1st, but a small scoring run from the Beavers put the Terriers down 32-39 with just under three minutes remaining.
- Blackmon, Yasmo Mohamud, and Brady Adams closed out the final minutes of the 1st half with buckets, but the Terriers still trailed the Beavers 40-43 heading into halftime.
- The Beavers extended their lead to nine points in the opening minutes of the 2nd half.
- Points from Blackmon and Payton Mitchell got the Terriers back on track in the following minutes.
- But the Beavers would answer right back, completing a 9-0 scoring run to put the Terriers down 45-60 with 14 minutes to play.
- Desimone looked to provide a spark for the Terriers with a transition dunk, but the Beavers still held a 54-77 lead midway through the second half.
- The Terriers continued to battle late in the 1st half, with Blackmon and Godley combining for 21 points in the final 5 minutes of play.
