Farmington, ME – Women's Soccer traveled to take on the University of Maine Farmington Beavers on Tuesday, September 23
rd, 2025. The final score was 1-4 as
Emily Rock made an incredible 21 saves for the Terriers.
How it Happened:
- The Terriers struck first in the second minute when Breonna Dufrense found Briley Rutledge, who buried the ball in the bottom left corner to make it 1-0.
- The Beavers responded with an immense amount of offensive pressure, forcing three saves from Rock and hitting the post within the next six minutes.
- In the 15th minute the Beavers tied it up, and shortly after scored again to make it 1-2.
- Alexandra Wallingford forced a save from the Beaver goalkeeper in the 19th minute, almost tying things back up.
- After several more saves from Rock the Beavers scored again in the 39th minute, taking a 3-1 lead.
- Neither team could find the net in the remaining six minutes, and the Beavers entered halftime up 3-1.
- In the opening minutes of the second half Rock was forced to make four more good saves.
- However, in the 53rd minute the Beavers scored their final goal of the game, making it 1-4.
- The Terrier defense held strong for the remainder of the game, with several blocks and saves denying the Beavers any more goals.
