Women's Tennis Earns Doubleheader Sweep Against VTSU Lyndon

Lyndonville, VT - Women's Tennis completed their weekend away trip in style - earning two 7-0 wins against VTSU Lyndon in a doubleheader on Sunday, September 21st, 2025.

Match One - 7-0 Win
  • Lily Daigle and Taylor Juhase made quick work of the Hornets at #1 doubles, winning 6-0.
  • Lillian Mickel and Gigi Bhagat also won 6-0 at #2 singles.
  • The Hornets forfeit at #3 singles, giving the Terriers a 1-0 match lead.
  • Juhase at #1 singles and Bhagat at #2 singles both swept their opponents, 6-0, 6-0.
  • Daigle at #3 singles followed behind with a 6-1, 6-0 win.
  • And finally Mickel won 6-2, 6-0, to wrap up the first match of the day.
  • The Hornets forfeit at #5 and #6 singles, meaning the Terriers earned a 7-0 win.

Match Two - 7-0 Win
  • The Terriers came out with a dominant showing doubles, starting off with a 6-2 win for #1 pair Juhase and Tracy Lopez.
  • At #2 singles Sarah Mack and Chesney Knapkiewicz-Vollberg earned a 6-0 win.
  • The Hornets forfeited at #3 singles, giving the Terriers a 1-0 team lead.
  • In #1 singles Bhagat swept her opponent, 6-0, 6-0.
  • In the #2 spot Daigle won 6-1, 6-0.
  • Lopez in #3 singles won 6-0, then lost 2-6 in the second set - but came out on top after a 10-6 tiebreaker.
  • Kiera Gilman won 6-1, 6-1, in #4 singles to round out the day for the Terriers.
  • The Hornets forfeit at #5 and #6 singles, giving the Terriers a 7-0 win to go a combined 14-0 on the day.

  • Women's Tennis will be back in action when they travel to take on Husson University on Wednesday, September 24th. The match is scheduled to begin at 3:30 PM.
