Women's Tennis Earns Thrilling 4-3 Win Against Lesley University

Waterville, ME - Women's Tennis earned a thrilling 4-3 win against North Atlantic Conference opponent Lesley University Lynx at home on Sunday, September 14th, 2025.

How it Happened:
  • The day started with #1 doubles, Taylor Juhase and Lily Daigle, falling in a tight 4-6 match.
  • Keira Gilman and Gigi Bhagat at #2 doubles also fell, 6-7 (6-8 in a tiebreaker).
  • To round out doubles Lillian Mickel and Kayla Bailey fell 3-6, giving Castleton a 1-0 team lead.
  • Juhase was outmatched at #1 singles, falling 1-6, 0-6.
  • Gilman had a similar fate at #2 singles, with the scores being 0-6, 1-6.
  • With the Lynx leading 3-0, the Terriers needed to win the final four singles matches to win.
  • Bhagat at #3 singles won in dominant fashion, 6-3, 6-1.
  • Daigle in #4 singles won a tight first match 7-5, and a dominant second match 6-0 to make the overall score 2-3.
  • Mickel at #5 singles won a nailbiter, 7-5, 7-5 to tie things up.
  • And finally, Tracy Lopez at #6 singles nearly swept her opponent 6-1, 6-0, to give the Terriers a 4-3 comeback win.

  • Women's Tennis will be back in action at home on Wednesday, September 17th, 2025, when they take on the Plymouth State University Panthers at 3:00 PM.
