Waterville, ME – The 2025 Women's Tennis season is here, and student athletes recently returned to campus to begin their preseason practices.

Rob Disch has worked to bring in another incoming class. When he was asked about the incoming student-athletes he said that "Numbers are good this year, we have a good mix of first years – both in terms of talent and personalities. Their ability to connect with the veteran crew will be important, but this season looks like we'll have a good mix of student-athletes." Those incoming student athletes are as follows:
Kayla Bailey – Mercer, Maine, Skowhegan Area High School
Gigi Bhagat – Pueblo, Colorado, Pueblo West High School
Chesney Knapkiewicz-Vollberg – East Liverpool, Ohio, Beaver Local High School
Sarah Mack – Lewiston, Maine, Lewiston High School
Lillian Mickel – Bradley, Maine
When asked about the team's goals for this fall, Disch said that he is emphasizing the team's development with the eventual goal being to compete in the North Atlantic Conference tournament at the end of the regular season. He also noted that he would like the team to finish stronger than they start.

Coach Disch was asked who he believed would help make a big impact this season and gave three names. They are as follows:
Keira Gilman – Senior, Waterville, Maine, Waterville Senior High School
Lily Daigle – Sophomore, Buxton, Maine, Bonny Eagle High School
Taylor Juhase – Sophomore, Raymond, Maine, Windham High School
Women's Tennis will begin their season on September 6
th, when they travel to take on Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, New York. Match time is set for 12:00 PM.
