Waterville, ME – The 2025 Men's and Women's Cross Country seasons are just around the corner, and student athletes will return to campus on August 15
th to begin their preseason preparations.
Head Cross Country Coach
Alanna McDonough Tucker has worked to bring in another strong class. When asked about this incoming class, McDonough Tucker had this to say: "I am incredibly excited to officially welcome them onto campus and kick off the fall cross country season with them. This group of first years are not only strong athletes, but they also excel in the classroom and have set themselves apart as good teammates in their high school teams." Those student athletes are as follows:
- Christina DeGiso – Bucksport, Maine, Bucksport High School – Biology
- Kayla Hatt – Milo, Maine, Penquis Valley High School – Elementary Education
- Alwin Andree – Trollhattan, Sweden, Nils Ericsonsgymnasiet - Computer Science
- Tristan Hughes – Searsmont, Maine, Belfast Area High School – Computer Science
- Jeffrey Flees – Waterville, Maine, Waterville Senior High School – General Studies
- Noah Young – Benton, Maine, Lawrence High School - Biology
- Dominick Plourde – Wales, Maine, Oak Hill High School – Criminal Justice
When asked about each team's goals for this fall, McDonough Tucker said "As always, we aim for everyone to get stronger, practice our resiliency in racing, and prioritize healthy training. These things combined usually lead to developing consistency that helps us become better runners. My goal for the women's team is to set the foundation to continue to grow to move up in the North Atlantic Conference and the east region. For our Men's team my goal is for them to compete as one of the strongest teams in the NAC."

th – NCAA Division III East Regional Championships – Time TBD – Location TBD
Coach McDonough Tucker also wanted to mention how she's looking forward to this fall. "It's been awesome to grow with this program over the years. We have a great combination of newcomers and returners this year and I'm excited to see what personality this team takes on."
Men's and Women's Cross Country will begin their season on August 30
th, when they travel to Colby-Sawyer College in New London, New Hampshire. Meet time is TBD.
