Terriers Secure 14-3 Conference Win Over Trailblazers on Senior Day

Waterville, ME – Men's Lacrosse hosted the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts on their senior day and would pick up a North Atlantic Conference win by a score of 14-3 on Saturday, April 4th. Nine separate Terriers would score in the conference win over the Trailblazers. 

How it Happened:  

  • The Terriers would jump out to an early lead in the 1st quarter, with Hunter Simpson scoring a man-up goal off a Jack Morrill assist to put the Terriers ahead 1-0. 

  • Timothy Worster would get involved in the action midway through the first, scoring an unassisted goal and assisting on a Nicholas Pike goal to help put the Terriers ahead 4-0. 

  • Kyle Van Doren-Crooker would close the quarter with a goal assisted by Pike, to give the Terriers a 5-0 lead after the first. 

  • The Terriers would continue to push the pace in the second quarter, with Morill scoring back-to-back unassisted goals within 20 seconds of each other. 

  • Connor Hamilton would score the final goal of the second quarter midway through the quarter to put the Terriers up 8-0 heading into halftime. 

  • The Trailblazers would open the third quarter with a quick goal, but the Terriers would respond midway through the third with a goal from Wyatt Lyons (Worster assist) to give the Terriers a 9-1 lead heading into the fourth quarter. 

  • The Terriers would continue to generate offensive opportunities early in the fourth quarter, with Hamilton (Morrill assist) and Owen Lyons finding the back of the net to extend the Terriers' lead to double digits. 

  • The Terriers would score three additional goals minutes later, with Hamilton (Tyler Gay assist), O. Lyons (Worster assist), and Worster each scoring to put the Terriers ahead 14-1. 

  • The Trailblazers would score two goals in the fourth quarter, but it wouldn't be enough as the Terriers would secure a 14-3 North Atlantic Conference win on senior night. 

  • The Terriers would combine for 20 caused turnovers and 60 ground balls in a decisive win over the Trailblazers

  • Jack Morrill – 2 Goals, 2 Assists, 17 Ground Balls, 17-18 FO 

  • Timothy Worster – 2 Goals, 3 Assists, 3 Ground Balls, 2 Caused Turnovers 

What's Next: 

  • The Terriers will return to action on Saturday, April 12th, traveling to Delhi, New York, to take on the SUNY Delhi Broncos in a North Atlantic Conference match. Opening face-off is scheduled for noon.
