Worster Scores 100th Career Point in Men’s Lacrosse 13-4 Win Over SUNY Cobleskill

Cobleskill, NY – Timothy Worster would score his 100th career point in Men's Lacrosse first North Atlantic Conference win of the season, defeating the SUNY Cobleskill Fighting Tigers by a score of 13-4 on Saturday, March 29th. Seven different Terriers would score in the win over SUNY Cobleskill.

How it Happened: 

  • The Terriers would capitalize off two man-up opportunities early in the first quarter, with Wyatt Lyons scoring off a Worster assist, and Worster scoring off a Connor Hamilton assist to put the Terriers ahead 2-0. 

  • Kyle Van Doren-Crooker would extend the Terriers lead minutes later with an unassisted goal to make it a 3-0 game midway through the quarter. 

  • But the Fighting Tigers would close the first quarter with two late goals to cut the Terriers lead to just one goal heading into the second quarter. 

  • The Terriers would flip the momentum of the game in the second quarter, with Owen Lyons (Hunter Simpson assist) and Worster (O. Lyons assist) each scoring on two additional man-up chances to give the Terriers a 5-2 lead. 

  • The Terriers would continue to take control of the game for the remainder of the second quarter, scoring three goals from O. Lyons (Simpson assist), Simpson and Charlie Foster-Major to put the Terriers ahead 8-2 at the half. 

  • O. Lyons would extend the Terriers lead early in the third quarter, scoring his third goal of the game (W. Lyons assist) to extend the Terriers lead to seven goals. 

  • The Fighting Tigers would score a goal midway through the third, but the Terriers would respond near the end of the quarter with goals from Jack Morrill (O. Lyons assist) and an unassisted goal by Worster to put the Terriers ahead 11-3 heading into the fourth quarter. 

  • The Fighting Tigers would score one goal in the fourth, but Simpson would put the game out of reach midway through the quarter with two unassisted goals to secure a 13-4 North Atlantic Conference win on the road.

What's Next:  

  • The Terriers will look to continue their two-game winning streak on Wednesday, April 2nd, traveling to Salem, Massachusetts to take on the Salem State University Vikings in a non-conference match up. Opening faceoff is scheduled for 6 PM.
