LaRochelle’s 100th Goal Not Enough as Women’s Lacrosse Comes Up Short Against Regis

Weston, MA – Mary LaRochelle scored her 100th collegiate goal, but it wasn't enough as Women's Lacrosse came up short against the Regis College Pride 9-10 on Wednesday, March 26th, 2025.

How it Happened:
  • The Terriers got on the scoreboard first, with LaRochelle scoring to make it 1-0 three minutes into the first quarter.
  • The Pride responded with three unanswered goals to end the quarter 1-3.
  • Less than a minute into the second quarter Emily Wallingford scored an unassisted goal to make it 2-3.
  • Halfway through the quarter the Pride scored again, making it 2-4.
  • Taking advantage of a Regis card, Isabella Pelletier scored in a player-up opportunity to make it a one goal game headed into halftime.
  • Three minutes into the third quarter the Pride scored after a ground ball to make it 3-5.
  • Pelletier and LaRochelle would fire shots into the goal with less than 15 seconds between them to tie things up at 5-5.
  • This goal would be LaRochelle's 100th career goal, cementing her as one of the top players in program history.
  • Later in the quarter Pelletier found LaRochelle, who scored to tie things 6-6.
  • The Pride ended the quarter with another goal, but it was either team's game headed into the fourth.
  • The Pride turned up their intensity in the fourth, scoring three goals in the span of seven minutes to make it 7-10.
  • LaRochelle then began to take over, scoring with two minutes left, then assisting Emily Gower 20 seconds later to make it 9-10.
  • Wallingford had an opportunity on goal with a minute left, but the Regis goalie came up with a crucial save to hand the Terriers a 9-10 loss.
  • Despite the loss Terrier goalie Bristol Sine had an outstanding game, making 16 saves in some important moments.
