Thomas College Esports - Week of 2/24
  • The week kicked off with League of Legends facing off against Dalhousie University.
  • With Thomas at the middle of the standings and Dalhousie yet to find a win, Thomas looked to have the upper hand. Through the first draft, the clear advantage went the way of Thomas, with better scaling, more damage, and a clear path to victory.
  • Thomas stuck to their clear win conditions and dominated game one through the top side of the map.
  • Moving on to game two it was much of the same, with a clear draft advantage going the way of Thomas and a very straightforward approach to the match, the Terriers left no doubts as they closed the series 2-0 over Dalhousie.
  • The next matches of the week were on Thomas Rocket League Black, the first a rescheduled match against Queen's University, and the second against Conestoga College.
  • The first match was controlled completely by the Terriers with a 4-1 win over the Gaels.
  • The second match of the week was an uphill battle with the Conestoga Condors, nearing the top of the division.
  • In these games the Condors showed why they had such a good record, giving the Terriers little to no room to breathe, and took the win in a controlled fashion, 4-0.
  • Overwatch Black found an easy 3-0 win over Brookdale Esports this week.
  • This was a much needed win for the Terriers as they look to stay alive in the playoff race.
  • Overwatch Red had a bye this week, but continued to scrimmage and practice to prepare for their next upcoming match.

Thomas College Esports - Week of 3/3
  • This week Thomas League of Legends found themselves across the rift from a strong opponent in New England College.
  • With a new draft strategy and a couple new picks, the Terriers looked rough around the edges, and were unable to put together much of anything in the early game.
  • Slowly building back up into the late game with some solid performances, Thomas was seemingly making a slow comeback.
  • Unfortunately, with the upper hand, the Grims were able to put the Terriers between a rock and a hard place and force mistakes to eventually close out the game.
  • Game two was the same story, with a solid early game from the Grims, and the eventual comeback of the Terriers, but it just wasn't quite enough as the Grims closed the series 2-0 over the Terriers.
  • Thomas League of Legends also had a second match this week against Army West Point.
  • Again, Thomas was unable to find any traction in the early game and could not create any sort of offensive pressure throughout the midgame.
  • Army West Point ran away with their lead, taking a 1-0 lead over the Terriers.
  • This time, the early game was in the way of Thomas as Marcus Morton ("Mars") swapped to the top lane and was able to earn two solo eliminations in the closing phase of the game.
  • Unfortunately, this small lead was not enough as the team play from Army West Point was just too coordinated, and Thomas eventually fell 0-2.

Thomas College Esports - Week of 3/11
  • With quite a few rescheduled matches, the first games of the week were kicked off by Thomas Rocket League Black.
  • The series against the University of Central Florida Knights started off with both teams taking a game, the Knights taking game one in a close 3-2 match, and the Terriers striking back with a 1-0 win of their own.
  • Game three was yet another close match, with the Knights just scraping by with a 4-3 game win, and this really woke the Thomas Rocket League Black roster up.
  • The squad was able to dominate games five and six, with 4-0 and 3-0 game scores respectively.
  • Rocket League Black found themselves in a back-to-back against Daytona State Esports, who are currently undefeated at the top of the division.
  • Game one looked great as the Terriers took the match from Daytona in solid fashion.
  • Unfortunately, the Terriers were unable to keep up the pressure and momentum from the previous series and fell flat, dropping games two through five, losing the series 1-4.
  • Thomas Overwatch Black got a massive win against a strong University of Michigan team 3-1.
  • Thomas played one of their best matches after a shaky start to control the play on map one.
  • With well coordinated dives, Michigan had a hard time dealing with the constant pressure.
  • The Terriers only dropped one map, completing a nearly flawless performance against a strong team.
  • Overwatch Black now only needs one win out of the next two matches to secure a spot in the playoffs.
  • Thomas Overwatch Red faced a tough opponent in the undefeated Post Eagles.
  • The Terriers were able to find a map win thanks to Morton's great play, but struggled on closer quarter maps.
  • Though the game ended in a loss, the team showed a lot of improvement.
