Davenport, FL – Baseball fell to Vassar College by a score of 1-12 on their final day of their spring trip on Sunday, March 16
th, 2025.
Thomas College: Overall (3-8)
Vassar College: Overall (5-3)
How it Happened:
- The Terriers got on the scoreboard first thanks to a big double from Tony Meza that scored Elijah Morton to make it 1-0 in the first inning.
- Both teams were held scoreless for the next few innings, but Vassar broke through with a six run fifth inning to make it 6-1.
- The Terriers looked primed to battle back in the sixth inning, with three players on base after hits from Meza and DJ Cagnina but were unable to capitalize.
- Vassar was held scoreless until the top of the ninth inning, where they once again scored six runs to make it 12-1.
- The Terriers were unable to score in the bottom of the ninth inning, and would be defeated by a final score of 1-12.
